When I create or edit comments, a Revisions dialog box appears on the left or wherever I reposition it to of the docoment. I can edit in the larger font in the dialog box or smaller font on the right. They are in sync and reflect the same text, with the right being formatted.

I want to print the document with the comments on the right side corresponding with the text. I realize that the document might be resized or expanded to brint both the text and comments. Short of doing screen prints, I have not found a way to print both on the same page. I seem to remember that this was possible in earlier versions but Ihave not needed that function in a long time.

My Word version through Office was , build , and I updated to , build It did not help. I hope there is a solution. This is a page document with comments on every page. I believe the ability to add replies to comments was added in Word If the original author is using an earlier version, this might explain the loss of replies, although this thread suggests that there may be a problem even in Word Instead of replying to the comment, perhaps the editor could just add a new comment?

In reply to Suzanne S. Barnhill's post on July 24, Actually, it almost seems the other way round. The editor mentioned that if there was a direct reply to an existing balloon, then that was okay. However, if the author wrote a brand new comment, then this was 'invisible'. That's why we wondered if there was a version issue, because it's like Word doesn't recognize the 'older version' comments. That does seem odd. If you could provide a sample with the evanescent comments, perhaps one of us could look at it both in Word and in an earlier version and figure something out.
